The first follow-up appointment with your doctor is typically 4-6 weeks after your first office visit and lasts 45 minutes. He will discuss the results of any new lab work that has been ordered with you, and go over how your current treatment plan is progressing, if necessary, changes will be made based on your lab results and experience with the treatment plan so far. Follow up visits may be conducted via phone when necessary.
Once you've made an appointment, you'll be asked to fill out health information prior to the appointment. We recommend bringing any recent lab work, imaging, or health records to your visit.
Naturopathic medicine is based on the following six principles:
- First, do no harm.
- Treat the whole person.
- Identify and treat the cause of illness.
- Remove obstacles to healing and health, and allow the healing power of nature to act.
- The word doctor means teacher; the doctor should educate the patient and emphasize self-responsibility.
- Prevention is the best medicine.
